Meet Catherine
Catherine's Story
Catherine moved from the financial industry to the public insurance industry in 1983. She spent 7 years at the WCB as a Senior Claims Adjudicator. She left the organization to pursue post-secondary education while concurrently employed as a Consultant with WCB. Catherine continued her role and began her practice as a paralegal in 2000.
Catherine supports the employer community in almost every industry in Ontario. Support means representing an employer throughout every step of the claim process up to, and including appeals at the Workplace Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal.
Catherine’s reputation of excellence is well-established in the employer community and is respected by her peers. She has created relationships with WSIB, allowing for easy navigation of this complex system.
Practice Highlights
Catherine has been a sole proprietor practicing paralegal since 2000. She serves clients with operations of any size–from smaller organizations of 10 employees, to multi-national Fortune 500 companies.
Her reputation of excellence is well-established for:
- Guiding employers on decision-making processes related to workplace injuries.
- One-on-one coaching and group education on workplace injury and employment law
- Representing employers at the WSIB including appeals up to the Workplace Safety & Insurance Tribunal
- Developing, designing and delivering policies and programs related to workplace injuries
- Providing employers with the details of provincial and federal employment law standards related to workplace injuries including accommodation, attendance management and terminations
